Built at the intersection of road and trail, the new Challenger 7 has been completely reimagined from the ground up. Combining a simplified mesh upper with a soft new foam, we’ve increased the stack height for a plusher feel and added proprietary rubber to the bottom unit, along with a reimagined outsole design for the best all-terrain ride yet. Inspired by gravel tires, we’ve cued up smaller, tightly spaced lugs in center and larger, more aggressive lugs at the perimeter designed for improved traction on uneven terrain.

Sizing runs a bit small. I ordered my usual size and they were too tight around the thighs. Had to return them. Maybe size up if you're unsure.

I've been running in these for three weeks now, mostly on pavement and some light trails. The cushioning is surprisingly supportive for such a lightweight shoe. I was worried they'd feel flimsy, but they hold up well during my morning 5Ks. The breathability is also a huge plus; my feet stay cool even when the humidity is trying its best to ruin my day. They look sleek enough to wear with casual outfits too, which is a bonus for someone who hates changing shoes five times a day. Definitely a solid purchase for anyone looking for a versatile daily trainer that doesn't break the bank. My only tiny gripe is the laces are a bit long, but that's an easy fix.
