A workhorse designed for technical trails, the Speedgoat returns with less weight and more traction than ever before. A new shoe from outsole to laces, this trail beast is updated with Vibram® Megagrip with Traction Lug for enhanced grip on loose soil. Retaining the same stack height and rocker profile, the Speedgoat 5 employs a lighter midsole compound and heartier, double layer jacquard mesh to inspire confidence on any terrain.

Fantastic support for my arches. I have plantar fasciitis and these provide enough cushion without feeling mushy. Can walk all day without pain.

Good overall performance. The lugs provide excellent grip. Took a star off because the tongue slides around a bit during runs, but otherwise great shoe.

I've bought three pairs of Hoka's now, and these are my favorite. The durability is impressive. After months of heavy use, they still look and feel great. Highly recommend for serious runners.

Disappointed. The sizing is way off. I ordered my usual size 8, but they were incredibly tight in the toe box. Had to return them. Also, the customer service took forever to respond to my query about exchange policies. Not a great experience.

Upgraded from the SG4. The toe box feels a bit more spacious which I appreciate on long descents. Traction is top-notch on loose gravel. Used them for a weekend backpacking trip and they held up perfectly. Definitely worth the investment if you spend a lot of time off-road.

I've been a fan of the Speedgoat line for years, and the 5s do not disappoint. The Vibram outsole provides excellent traction even on wet roots. I wore them for a 10K trail race last Saturday and my feet felt fresh throughout. The upper mesh breathes well, keeping my feet cool despite the heat. Highly recommend for serious trail runners looking for reliability and comfort. Will definitely buy another pair when these wear out!

I've been running in Speedgoats for years and the 5th version does not disappoint. Improved upper breathability makes a huge difference in summer heat. Great job Hoka!
